Omelette in a Bag Taste Test & Review
Omelette or egg in a bag is a recipe that is shown often on Social Media. It involves mixing up the ingredients of your favourite omelette, placing the mixture into a sealable plastic bag, placing it in boiling water, and simply allowing it to cook for 13 to 15 minutes. In this video, I try the recipe, and discuss the outcome.
In terms of the recipe’s ingredients, they can vary. We use a simple combination of red bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper. You can, of course, add the ingredients of your choice. For example, a few strips of ham would be nice too.
I mix the omelette in a bowl and put it in the bag. You can, however, do everything directly in the bag.
After cooking for 15 minutes, I found that the omelette did not cook properly on top. Nor did I get the perfect roll that most boast about.
Watch the video, give it a try, and give us your opinion.
