Buttermilk Fried Chicken Made Easy
Buttermilk fried chicken is one of the crunchiest and tastiest fried chicken recipes I have come across. After the initial crunch, the meat just melts in your mouth. I serve this up at parties and gatherings and the guests go wild. I always get asked for the recipe frequently and sometimes share it. The recipe can be altered in a few ways. First, the marinating process is critical to all aspects of the dish. You can get away with marinating it for 4 to 6 hours, but if you can leave it overnight, it’s well worth while.
I add a teaspoon of each of my favorite spices, more or less can be used depending on your taste. You can add additional spices too if you wish.
I fry my chicken, in batches, at 350 degrees F (177 C) for about 15 minutes. If you use bigger or small pieces, adjust the cooking time accordingly. I keep a close eye on the chicken and flip it frequently until it’s a beautiful golden brown.
