Chinriu Honten makes umeboshi since 1871 and is well know in Japan for the high quality of its products made of Japanese fruits. The small white umeboshi are called "Hanaume" and are a classic ingredient for Bento boxes with rice. The salty and sour umeboshi has a nice and natural aftertaste of ume plum as it is made of ume and salt only.
